Answer

Thank you for your question.

You can view the Schedule of Social Security Benefit Payments for 2025 at https://www.ssa.gov/pubs/EN-05-10031-2025.pdf

The calendar also provides the following explanations:

  • The date payments are sent depends on your birthday.
  • If you received Social Security before May 1997 or if receiving both Social Security & Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security is paid on the 3rd and SSI on the 1st.
  • If you don’t receive your payment on the expected date, please allow three additional mailing days before contacting Social Security.

If these resources do not answer your question, you can call the Social Security System at 1-800-772-1213 between 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday. Wait times to speak to a representative are typically shorter in the morning, later in the week, and later in the month. Their automated telephone services are available 24 hours a day and do not require you to wait to speak with a representative.

You can also call your local Social Security office to get answers to your questions. To find the number of your local office, go to https://secure.ssa.gov/ICON/main.jsp
