If you are disabled are you going to get any stipend money?

Answer

Thank you for your question.

If you are referring to the American Rescue Plan stimulus payments from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the IRS has issued all first, second, and third Economic Impact Payments. Sign in to your individual online account to see if you have received payments. More information on the Economic Impact Payments stimulus payments is available on the non-governmental National Disability Institute website at https://www.nationaldisabilityinstitute.org/financial-resilience-center/stimulus/

You may also be able to claim a Credit for the Elderly or Disabled on your income tax return. To learn more about this, go to https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/credit-for-the-elderly-or-the-disabled

Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or “Disability” provides monthly payments to people who have a disability that stops or limits their ability to work. To find out if you might be eligible for this assistance, and to learn how to apply, visit the Social Security Administration website at https://www.ssa.gov/disability

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provides monthly payments to people with disabilities and older adults who have little or no income or resources.

I hope this information is helpful. If this is not what you need, or if there is any other assistance we can provide, please let us know.
