I'm trying to find the staff listings for the congressional representatives from my state (South Carolina)?
I have found the Congressional Directory with the Biographical listings (which have this info). But the most recent is for the 116th Congress and was updated in July 2020. Is there a listing for the 117th Congress? Here's the URL I found (https://www.govinfo.gov/app/collection/cdir/cdir_116). Or is there another place where I can (somewhat) easily find this information? Thank you for any help you can provide.

Answer

Thank you for your question.

You can find a list of congressional representatives from South Carolina on the House of Representatives website at https://www.house.gov/representatives#state-south-carolina . If you click on a representative's name, it will take you to the homepage of their individual web site.

This only lists members of the House of Representatives. Senators can be found on the U.S. Senate website: https://www.senate.gov/states/SC/intro.htm

To get to this list from the homepage, go to senate.gov and select "Senators" > "States" from the top menu bar.

You can also find the current list of senators and representatives, along with biographical and other information, on the Congress.gov website at https://www.congress.gov/search?q={%22member-is-current%22:%22Y%22,%22source%22:%22members%22,%22congress%22:117,%22member-state%22:%22South%20Carolina%22}

To get to this list from the homepage, go to https://www.congress.gov/ and scroll down to "Current Members of Congress," then select your state from the drop-down menu.

If you're looking for the individual staff members that work for congress, go to the House Telephone Directory at directory.house.gov/ and  select "Member Offices by State" from the left menu bar. I don't think the Senate has a comparable online directory for staff.

There are also commercial staff directories, such as those from LegiStorm and CQ Knowlegis, but they require a subscription unless you have access to a nearby library near you that subscribes to the database.

I hope this information is helpful. If this is not what you need, or if you should require any further assistance, please let us know.
