How do i find a listing of federal attorneys for the 8th circuit?
My best friend was sentenced out of Omaha, Nebraska to federal prison. She's in Florida and needs an attorney on the 8th circuit.

Answer

Thank you for your question.

You can request a list of attorneys admitted to practice before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals by contacting the Clerk of Court. This is his contact information:

Michael E. Gans, Clerk of Court
United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit
Thomas F. Eagleton U.S. Courthouse
111 South Tenth Street, Suite 24.327
St. Louis, MO 63102

Telephone: (314) 244-2400

E-mail: michael_gans@ca8.uscourts.gov

Fax: (314) 244-2405

This is the contact page for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit: https://www.ca8.uscourts.gov/court-info/court-locations/

You can also try contacting the 8th Circuit Bar Association for a list of attorneys who are members of the Bar Association, although it will not be a complete list of attorneys admitted to practice before the court. An attorney has to be admitted to the court to be a member of the Bar Association, but does not have to be a Bar member to be admitted to the court.

This is an online form to contact the 8th Circuit Bar Association: http://www.eighthcircuitbar.com/Contact-Us

You can also google the phrase "admitted to practice before the 8th circuit" and find a selection of attorneys who have used that phrase in their profiles or on their webpages.

I hope this information is helpful. If this is not what you need, or if you should require any further assistance, please let us know.
